Pet Photo Contest

1. WHO CAN ENTER: Open to all Military ID card holders. AAFES associates and their immediate families are not eligible.

2. HOW TO ENTER: You may enter online by sending a photograph of your pet and yourself or family members plus a 50 words or less description of your pet to PatriotFamily@aafes.com. You must include your name, address, daytime phone number, rank or occupation plus pet information (name, breed or type of pet) at the top left hand side of the email. Last day to submit entry by email is December 15, 2008. Post the title “Patriot Family Pet” into the subject line. Failure to add your contact information to your contest submission will mean automatic disqualification.

You may also submit your photo by mail by sending it, along with the same information as above, plus a 50 words or less description of your pet to:

Mailed entries must be postmarked no later than December 15, 2008.

You may only submit one (1) photo per household

3. CONTEST PHOTO FORMAT RESTRICTIONS: Images can be of any household/outdoor pet, (dogs, cats, ferrets, reptiles, horses, etc.) Images submitted electronically must be .jpeg or .tiff file format only, no larger than 1 MB. Printed photographs must be at least 4" x 6" size on photo quality paper. You may only submit original photographs of which you are the sole owner of any copyright or other property or privacy rights.

4. JUDGING CRITERIA AND SELECTION OF WINNERS: Submissions will be judged on the basis of creativity, uniqueness, quality, and effectiveness in conveying the essence of pets belonging to military members. Judging will be conducted in January, 2009.

5. PRIZES:
There will 6 Winners announced with the following prizes awarded:

Grand Prize - $1,500 AAFES Shopping Spree
1st Place - $1,000 AAFES Shopping Spree
2nd Place - $500 AAFES Shopping Spree – (2 winners)
3rd Place - $250 AAFES Shopping Spree – (2 winners)

Winning photos will used in future print ads and multi-media initiatives

6. TERMS: All entry information becomes the property of AAFES. By entering the contest, entrants grant AAFES a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide license to display any submitted photographs. Entrant name and pet name may be displayed on the AAFES website and within AAFES advertising and promotions without any fee or other form of compensation. AAFES may make and retain copies of any submitted photograph for contest and archival purposes.
