| Chief Master Sergeant Jeffry D. Helm is the Enlisted Advisor to the
Commanding General, Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES),
headquartered in Dallas, Texas. His primary responsibility is to act as the
focal point for communications between the commander and enlisted forces of
the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force. In addition, Chief Helm travels to Army
and Air Force installations worldwide to present updates on AAFES activities
and to provide the commander with feedback on issues affecting AAFES'
customers. Chief
Helm was born in Baltimore, Maryland. He joined the Air Force in July 1982
and has held various positions throughout his Air Force career to include
Fuels Technician, Enlisted Recruiter, Officer Training School Recruiter, an
instructor at the Air Force Senior Noncommissioned Officer Academy, and the
Command Chief at the United States Air Force Expeditionary Center in Fort
Dix, NJ.
Additionally,
Chief Helm has deployed to Riyadh Air Base, Saudi Arabia in support of
Operation SOUTHERN WATCH and Budapest, Hungary in support of Operation
ALLIED FORCE.
