The calculation of dividends each installation receives
from AAFES earnings is determined by each service, using
their own unique methods. AAFES makes the dividend payment
based on these instructions. This is the aervices’ money,
not AAFES’.

dividends are determined, you can contact:

Army Dividend Payments
The AAFES dividend is currently calculated as follows: 100% of Class Six direct operating profite (less the annual Capital Expenditure Programs %), plus 80% of Telecom business and 50% of the remaining earnings ("core dividend") will be split between the Central Army MWR Fund and the Central Air Force MWR Fund in proportion to relative world wide strength.
OIF/OEF units can request their MWR Dividend from their
Installation Management Agency (IMA) at home station (at a
rate of $2/troop/month). If commanders have any questions
on “getting your piece” of the MWR/Services dividend,
contact C1, MNC-I /CJTF-76 and CFLCC C1 through your chain
of command..
Air Force Dividend Payments
The AAFES dividend is currently calculated as follows: 100% of Class Six direct operating profit (less the annual Capital Expenditure Program %), plus 80% of Telecom business and 50% of the remaining earnings ("core dividend") will be split between the Central Army MWR Fund and Central Air force MWR Fund in proportion to relative world wide strength.
Payments to contingency/isolated locations are paid
quarterly from the Air Force Services’ Central MWR Fund to
the MAJCOM (Air Combat Command) as Isolated Unit Fund (IUF)
payments.
Marine Dividend Payments
Earnings and losses are jointly shared between AAFES
and the HQMC-MR. All earnings are provided to the HQMC-MR
using the same distribution formula that determines
earnings to the Army and Air Force on a percentage basis
of net earnings balanced with costs. AAFES provides these
dividends to the HQMC-MR each quarter.
Navy Dividend Payments
As of October, 2009, Joint Region Marianas and Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Story will begin receiving dividends jointly shared between AAFES and CNIC Central MWR Fund using the same distribution formula that determines earnings to the Army and Air force on a percentage basis of net earnings balanced with costs. Joint Basing Phase II will begin October, 2010 and will included Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling and Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam.
